Police: Two Forgery Reports, Two Battery Arrests

Also featured in this week's blotter: three residential burglaries between Jan. 28 and Feb. 4.

The following reports were provided by the Glenview Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations, and do not indicate guilt. 

Residential Burglary

On Jan. 28, a resident on the 400 block of Brook Ln. reported someone burglarized their home when several rooms were found ransacked, according to police. Entry was apparently made through an unlocked door, though nothing was reported missing, police say.

On Jan. 29, a resident on the 2000 block of Avalon Ct. reported someone burglarized their home after forcing open the front door, police say. Jewelry and an unknown amount of money were taken, according to police.

On Feb. 4, a resident on the 1300 block of Longvalley Rd. reported someone burglarized their home after entering through an unlocked door, according to police. Jewelry worth about $17,000.00 were reported stolen, police say.

Criminal Trespass

On Jan. 29, someone on the 2100 block of Harrison St. reported a man gained entry to their home by claiming he needed to test their water, police say. While the male was in the kitchen, the homeowner found a second man in their garage, according to police. Both males fled the area and nothing was reported missing, police say.

Theft By Deception

On Jan. 29, a Glenview resident reported sending two $950.00 money orders to Mexico City, Mexico after receiving a call from a woman who identified herself as a family member in trouble with the police and needed the money, according to police.

Forgery

On Jan. 30, an employee of a business on the 2200 block of Willow Rd. reported two women came into the business on Jan. 24 and used two counterfeit $100.00 bills to pay for merchandise, according to police.

That day, another employee of a business on the 2200 block of Willow Rd. reported man and a woman came into the business on Jan. 29 and used two counterfeit $100.00 bills to pay for merchandise, according to police. The female was identified as one of the same people who had presented a forged bill at the same business on Jan. 24, police say.

Battery On Milwaukee Ave.

On Feb. 1 around 10:00 p.m., Tommy German, 26, of Detroit, was arrested on the 3300 block of Milwaukee Ave. and charged with Domestic Battery, according to police.

On Feb. 4, around 12:00 a.m., Thomas Granger, 46, of Beach Park, was arrested on the 3300 block of Milwaukee Ave. and charged with Domestic Battery, according to police.
