Request for Directions Leads to Hair Pulling

Also in this Glenview police blotter, a resident was followed into their driveway by an unknown van.

Battery

A victim reported they approached a vehicle in the 4600 block of West Lake Ave. to ask for directions on March 1. When they leaned into the vehicle’s window to talk to the driver, the male driver grabbed their hair. The victim pulled away from the driver and fell to the ground. As they fell to the ground the vehicle left the scene.

On March 1 at 8:45 p.m., Miroslav Belici, 59, of Arlington Heights, was arrested in the 2500 block of East Lake Avenue and charged with Felony Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Injury, Driving with Suspended Driver’s License, Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Yield Turning left after being involved in a traffic crash at West Lake / Milwaukee. He was held pending transport to bond hearing.

The complainant reported she was hosting a jewelry party at a business in the 4300 block of Di Paolo Center March 2 when they heard two men arguing in a back room.  The two men left prior to police arrival and they did not know who they were.

Suspicious Vehicle

A resident in the 1900 block of Linneman St. reported as they pulled into their driveway a light colored van, possibly a Ford Aerostar, pulled in behind them on March 3. They exited their vehicle and went in their home and after about a minute the van left. They did not know how long the vehicle may have followed them. They never saw the driver and could not give a better description of the van.
