Residential Burglaries, Argumentative Dine and Ditch

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glenview Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Residential Burglary

Someone broke into a home in the 3300 block of Maple Leaf Dr. on June 19. Entry was apparently made by prying open a sliding glass door. Several rooms were ransacked, though it’s not known what was taken.

Someone burglarized a garage in the 500 block of Rio Vista Rd between June 12 and 19. Entry was made through an open garage door. An unlocked vehicle, a bicycle and $50 cash was taken, for a total loss of $350.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol

Elizabeth Owens, 19, of Glenview, was cited under village ordinance for minor in possession of alcohol in the 1500 block of Forest Dr. on June 20.

Theft

On 06/20/13 Someone stole a bicycle worth $100 from the front of a home in the 2100 block of Glenview Rd. on June 20.  

Possession of Cannabis

Bato Konovalov, 25, of Glenview, was cited under village ordinance for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Darryn Haley, 19, 3336 of Evanston, and Klaudia Karatnik, 18, of Glenview, were cited under village ordinance for minor in possession of alcohol. The incident occurred in the 2900 block of Harrison St. on June 20.

Theft

An employee of a restaurant in the 2100 block of Willow Rd. reported three females in their teens came into the restaurant, ordered food, and left without paying their $18.54 bill on June 20.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

Someone burglarized a vehicle while it was parked at Community Park West on June 20.  Entry was made by breaking the rear passenger side window and a purse and its contentwas stolen. Approximate loss is $650.00.

The same day another vehicle was burglarized at the park by breaking the driver’s door window. A purse and its contents were taken. Approximate loss is $275.00.

Retail Theft

The manager of a business in the 2400 block of Glenview Rd. reported being involved in a verbal argument June 21 with a male customer. During the dispute the customer began eating food offered for sale.  The male then left the store without paying. 

Suspicious Incident

Someone reported seeing two people attempting to gain access to a vehicle that was parked in the 500 block of Briarhill Rd. on June 22. The subjects fled when confronted.

Battery

Officers responded to a fight in progress at a business in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Ave. on June 23. Two female combatants were located. The two have a history of problems with one another. Both refused medical attention. No complaints were signed.
