Stolen Car, Multiple Theft Reports

A car worth $20K was stolen on April 2 from a business parking lot in Glenview.

The following reports were provided by the Glenview Police Department. 

Thefts

On March 28, a resident on the 2400 block of Bel Air Drive reported someone stole two baby strollers that were left near a vehicle parked in their driveway, according to police. Reported loss is about $300.00.

On March 28, someone reported the two side mirrors off their car were stolen while it was parked on the 1300 block of Woodview Lane, according to police. The mirrors were stolen on two different occasions between March 24 and March 28, police say. Reported loss is $210.00.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

On March 31, someone reported their unlocked car was burglarized while it was parked on the 1400 block of Ammer Road, according to police. Taken were a wallet and its contents, worth about $170.00, police say.

On March 31, someone reported their unlocked car was burglarized while it was parked at a residence on the 1900 block of Monroe Avenue, according to police. Taken were a wallet and its contents, worth about $900.00, police say.

Burglary

On April 1, someone reported their home on the 4000 block of Chester Drive was burglarized, according to police. Entry was made by forcing open an exterior door, police say. What was taken and when the incident occurred is currently unknown, according to police.

Stolen Car

On April 2, someone reported their car was stolen from the lot of a business on the 2600 block of Lehigh Avenue, according to police. The vehicle was unlocked and the key was inside it, police say. Reported loss is $20,000.00.
