Three Men Hit Victim With Baseball Bat On Milwaukee

The information in this police blotter was reported by Glenview Police on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013. Where arrests are included, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Glenview Police Department:

Offenders Hit Man With Baseball Bat On Milwaukee
A man reported that three unknown men struck him in the head four times with a baseball bat at a business in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue on Friday, Nov. 15, according to police. Police found a large amount of blood and broken baseball bat at the business. The victim did not wish to press charges, police said. 

$15,800 in Damage, Theft to Snow Plow Trucks
An employee of a business in the 1000 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported theft and damage to four trucks used for snow removal on Friday, Nov. 15, according to police. Three snow plow blades and a salt spreader were stolen, while the ignition was damaged on one of the vehicles. The estimated loss is $15,800.

Vehicle Stolen From Rental Car Agency
An employee of a business in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road reported that someone rented a vehicle worth $14,000 that was due back on Sept. 25, and never returned it, according to police. 

Child's iPad Stolen From Sports Game
Someone stole a child's school iPad while they were playing sports in the 1900 block of Johns Drive between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, according to police. The estimated loss is $450. 

Wallet Stolen at Work; $2,000 Charged on Card
An employee of a business in the 800 block of Waukegan Road reported that someone stole their wallet from their desk while they were at work. They learned it had been stolen when they called their credit card company about suspicious activity. Total fraudulent charges were $1,947.95.  

Customer Causes Disturbance on Miwaukee
A customer at a business in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported that a customer caused a disturbance at the front desk on Friday, Nov. 15, according to police. The employee did not want to press charges, police said. 

Business Reports Bounced Check
A business owner in the 1800 block of Johns Drive reported that someone paid for services with a personal check that was returned several times  for insufficient funds when the business owner tried to cash it, police reported. 

Attempted Identity Theft
A resident of the 300 block of Warren Road in Glenview reported that their bank notified them someone tried to open an account using their information in Fort Washington, PA, according to police. Nothing was stolen, however, police said. 

Statue, Mirror, Candles Broken on Patio
A resident of the 1400 block of Baffin Road reported that finding a statue, glass mirror and several candles broken on their patio after hearing a loud noise on Wednesday, Nov. 13, according to police. The estimated loss is more than $200.

Concrete Steps Damaged On Porter
A resident of the 2700 block of Porter Court reported that someone damaged the concrete steps near their front door between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, according to police. The estimated loss is $50.
