Toilet Defaced, Tools Stolen from Waukegan Rd. Business

A resident also reported someone calling and using foul language.

Criminal Damage to Property

A manger of a business in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported April 1 that carpeting had been damaged by a cigarette burn. The reported loss is $500.

Theft

Someone stole a laptop from a building in the 4000 block of West Lake Avenue on April 2. The reported loss is $150.

Someone stole a cellphone April 5 at 9 p.m. that the owner had set on a table while eating dinner at a restaurant in the 1800 block of Tower Dr. The estimated loss is $500.

A wallet was stolen from a purse while its owner ate at a restaurant in the 2300 block of Willow Rd. on April 6 at 1 p.m. When they noticed their wallet missing they called their credit card companies and were told several transactions were made at a business in the 2300 block of Willow Rd. The transactions totaled $1,929.98.

The owner of a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Rd., reported that between April 5-7 someone defecated on a toilet seat and stole some tools from their business. The estimated loss is $500.

The owner of a business in the 1800 block of Waukegan Rd., reported they ordered an item off the Internet and paid with a money order to a bank in Poland.  Several weeks have gone by and they have not received the item. The estimated loss is $6,000.

Harassment by Telephone

A resident reported April 2 receiving telephone calls from an unknown person using foul language.

Burglary (Motor Vehicle)

Someone smashed the passenger window on a vehicle and stole a GPS device while their vehicle was parked on a driveway in the 1400 block of Plymouth Ln. overnight on April 1. The estimated loss is $150.

Possession of less than 10 grams of Cannabis

Joshua Botello, 18, of Glenview, was cited under village ordinance for Possession of less than 10 grams of Cannabis and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in the 1500 block of Forest Drive on April 4 at 9:30 p.m.
