Trucker Charged With 3 Felonies in Crash That Killed State Trooper Near Glenview

Andrew Bokelman, 26, tried to save State Trooper James Sauter after Bokelman fell asleep behind the wheel and crashed his truck into Sauter's patrol car.

A Wisconsin truck driver whose semi-trailer crashed near Glenview, killing Illinois State Trooper James Sauter, has been charged with three felonies, according to the Glenview Announcements.

Andrew Bokelman, 26, had fallen asleep behind the wheel when his truck struck Sauter's patrol car on I-294, the Announcements reports.
