Two Charged In Underage Drinking Sting at Glenview Businesses

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Glenview Police Department:

Employees Charged in Underage Drinking Sting
Marjorie Hanson, 43, of the 1700 block of Forest Cover Drive, was issued a citation for sale of alcohol to a minor at her place of employment in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue on Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to police. Hanson was charged after she served beer to minors working undercover with an agent from the Illinois Liquor Control Commission, police said. 

Paresh Patel, 59, of the 600 block of Geneva Court in Indian Creek, was issued a citation for sale of alcohol to a minor at his place of employment in the 2600 block of Shermer Road on Tuesday, Jan. 21, after he sold beer to minors working undercover with an agent from the Illinois Liquor Commission, police said. 

Teen Charged With Hosting an Underage Drinking Party
Ryan Dobrowski, 18, of the 700 block of Chatham Road in Glenview, was issued a citation for hosting an underage drinking party at his home at 9:27 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, according to police. 

Driver Follows Car After Dispute in Lincolnshire
One driver followed another into Glenview after the two got into a driving dispute in Lincolnshire on Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to police. Glenview police stopped both vehicles, but neither driver wanted to pursue complaints.

Identity Thieves Hit Glenview Residents
A resident of the 3200 block of Potter Road reported that their bank had notified them that someone had attempted to electronically transfer funds from their account on Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to police. No losses were suffered.

A resident of the 3200 block of West Lake Avenue went to open a bank account and learned that someone had already opened an account with their social security number, but under a different name, according to police. 

Customer Booted After Violating Rental Agreement
An employee of a business in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported that a customer who had rented a room was in violation of their rental agreement and needed to leave on Saturday, Jan. 25, according to police. The customer left without incident, police said. 

Suspicious Caller Telephones About TV Delivery
After ordering a television, a resident of the 200 block of Fernwood Drive received two calls about delivery arrangements, according to police. The first call was legitimate, but a second call on Wednesday, Jan. 22, was not, police said. The second call was made from New York, and the male caller had personal information about the resident, police said. 

Man Calls, Makes Obscene Statement
A resident of the 2300 block of Bianco Terrace reported that an unknown man called from a blocked number and made an obscene statement on Monday, Jan. 27, according to police. The resident hung up the phone right away.

Coin Purse Stolen On Pfingsten Road
A resident reported leaving their coin purse at a business in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road on Monday, Jan. 27. When the individual realized they had left it behind, they called the business to see if they could review security footage, according to police. An employee told them it was corporate policy only to allow release of footage to police. The estimated loss is $10.
