Two Men Exit Cars, Throw Punches at Rush Hour in Glenview

There was also nearly $2,000 in graffiti damages to businesses and mailboxes on Waukegan.

Disturbance

A commuter reported seeing two cars stop in the intersection of Milwaukee Avenue and Glenview Road at 6:30 p.m. July 18. Two men exited the cars and started to punch each other numerous times. The men left the scene prior to police arrival.

A resident in the 4700 block of Locust Avenue reported two occupants of a car drove by a house and the driver asked if he could play volleyball with the residents’ two daughters at 7:30 p.m. July 18.

A resident of Lincolnshire reported July 18 receiving a voicemail of a threatening nature. He does not know who left the message.

Theft

A cab driver reported a slightly intoxicated male exited his cab without paying the $36.65 fare in the 1400 block of Hollywood Avenue at 1:15 a.m. July 20.

Burglary

Someone entered a locked vehicle and stole miscellaneous items in the 3600 block of Glenview Road at 12:30 a.m. July 20. The reported loss is $500.

Criminal Damage to Property

A resident of the 1800 block of Wildberry reported July 21 that a vehicle’s paint and tires were damaged. The reported loss is $800.

Criminal Defacement

Several business and mailboxes were spray painted with graffiti on Waukegan Road between Grove Street and the 1300 block of Waukegan Road July 21. The reported losses are $1,950.

Disorderly Conduct

A resident in the 4600 block of Jenna Road reported receiving a threat over the telephone July 21.

Harassment by Telephone

A resident of the 100 block of Glenview Road reported July 21 receiving dozens of unwanted telephone calls from the same number.

Theft

Someone stole more than $8,000 worth of jewelry and pills from a home in the 1700 block of Dewes Street between May and July 2012. It was reported July 21.

Theft

A resident in the 4000 block of Russett Way reported July 21 the theft of a tire worth $200.
