UPDATE: Glenview Dispatcher Caught Naked on Camera Demands Jury Trial

A demand for a jury trial was made May 24 in the case of Glenview facing seven misdemeanor charges for allegedly running naked through his Chicago apartment building last year.

Delatorre was while at work at the Glenview Police Station Feb. 1. immediately after appearing in court to answer the first two. If convicted of three or more, his next arrest on the same offense would be a felony, according to Chicago Police Detective Karen La Palermo.

Delatorre appeared Tuesday in Branch 29 of the Circuit Court of Cook County for a final status hearing after the arguments of his attorney, Joseph Roddy, to step into settlement efforts on the case on April 26. Six witnesses—five women and a man—were also in court.

Roddy told the judge he was demanding a jury trial. To accomodate this, Calabrese transferred the matter to Chicago's Branch 46 courthouse, 555 West Harrison, which hears jury cases for misdemeanor charges.

Roddy told Patch after the hearing he was uncertain whether the Cook County State’s Attorney office had provided him with all required information and may attempt to request a settlement conference with the new judge.  before a trial can begin.

The case is set for status at 1:30 p.m. June 2.
