UPDATE: Local Man Pleads Not Guilty to Sexual Abuse Charge Involving Minor
Roland Moji V. Martinez may have to register as a sex offender if convicted of charges.
pleaded not guilty to the charges after his indictment on one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse was announced April 11 in Cook County Criminal Court in Skokie.
Roland Moji V. Martinez wasGlenview police discovered him at the Marriott Courtyard on Milwaukee Avenue with an underage female. They learned of his whereabouts after stopping two male juveniles walking in the 4200 Block of West Lake Avenue at 3 a.m. that day. According to police, Martinez had purchased alcohol for them and consumed at drinks at the motel.
The charges against Martinez are a Class 2 felony which carries a prison sentence of up to seven years. He was also arrested for one count of renting a hotel room for minors and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. If convicted, he may be required to register as a sex offender.

Martinez remains free on a $50,000 bond. He next appears in court at 9:30 a.m. May 19 in the Skokie branch of Cook County Circuit Court.
