Vandal Throws Pumpkin, Breaks Windshield

The following information was reported by Glenview Police on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013. Where arrests are included, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Glenview Police Department:

Contractor Accepted $2,600, Didn’t Do Job

On Thursday, Oct. 23, a resident of the 2400 block of Rebecca Lane reported that a contractor took payment of $2,640 for construction work, but never started the job, according to police.

Landscaper Alters Check By $1,000

On Friday, Oct. 24, a resident of the 2400 block of Indian Ridge Drive reported that an employee of a landscape service they hired had altered a check by $1,000 to reflect a higher payment amount, according to police.

Burglar Steals Luggage From Car

Someone stole a set of luggage containing clothes from a car parked in a business lot in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road on Thursday Oct. 23, according to police. The estimated loss is $850.

Vandal Throws Pumpkin, Breaks Windshield

Someone threw a pumpkin at a vehicle in the 1600 block of Fielding Drive on Friday, Oct. 24, breaking the windshield, according to police. The estimated loss is $499.

Loud Patrons Booted On Willow Road

The manager of a business in the 2100 block of Willow Road reported to police that three people were causing a disturbance by being loud on Thursday, Oct. 23. They were told to leave and not return to the business, according to police.

Bike Stolen From Glenview Train Station

A resident reported that someone stole a bike worth $420 from the bike rack at the Glenview train station, 1116 Depot St., on Friday, Oct. 24, according to police. The bike was locked up while the resident was at work.
