Tri-State Crash Kills NIU Student Near Willow Road

A 21-year-old Chicago woman is dead after a collision on the Tri-State Tollway by Willow Rd.

Danielle M. Pisterzi, 21, of Chicago, was pronounced dead at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge on Sunday morning after being ejected from her car during a two-vehicle crash on the Tri-State Saturday night, the Northbrook Star reports.

Pisterzi was the only person in the car and not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occured, DNAinfo reports. She was driving southbound down I-294 near Willow Rd. in Glenview when she rolled over a median after losing control of the vehicle, according to DNAinfo.

Danielle Pisterzi was studying accounting at Northern Illinois University, and died while traveling home from a late night at her internship in Deerfield, her father told Chicago Tribune.
