D34, Village Move Forward on Flood Alleviation Plans

Roughly 14 initiatives have been implemented since the storm water master plan was adopted almost two years ago.

With more than a dozen water projects completed, the Village of Glenview is next eyeing a flood alleviation plan for TribLocal reports

Officials from District 34 and the village are looking to alleviate storm water problems on Springman's field, as well as the neighboring area.

“We do have some standing water on our fields form time to time when we have heavy rains,” said district spokesman Brett Clark told TribLocal.

If approved for summer construction, the project could be completed by fall.

The initiative would add another notch to the Village's storm water master plan that was adopted in Aug. 2010. Roughly 14 projects have been completed since the plan was conceived, according to Journal-Topics.

The village saw incredible success with the master plan
