Glenview Considers Expanding Local Hearing Process

The village is considering allowing residents to deal with parking tickets and other minor citations in local hearings.

In the future, Glenview residents may be able to contest parking tickets or other minor citations in Glenview rather than going to the Cook County Circuit Courthouse in Skokie, Chicago Tribune reported.

Glenview officials are considering expanding the local hearing process to deal with minor citations, which could help cut down costs and time, for example, residents would only have to pay about $50 to contest a parking ticket compared with about $200 in court costs that residents now pay to contest a parking ticket in Skokie, Chicago Tribune reported.
