Glenview Park District Hires Paddle Tennis Pro

Tony Marino has been hired as the new head paddle tennis professional.

 

Glenview Park District has tapped Tony Marino as the new head paddle tennis professional to oversee the platform tennis programs and all instructions when the new paddle tennis facility opens at Glenview National 9 Golf Club in April, according to the park district’s website. 

A paddle tennis professional since 2006, Marino joins Glenview Park District from Valley Lo Sports Club in Glenview, where he served as director of racquet sports for the past seven years and oversaw the expansion of club’s expansion of men and women platform tennis programs.

Marino was the head tennis/platform professional and junior program coordinator at North Shore Country Club between 2001 and 2006. 

The University of Iowa graduate has been playing tennis since he was six and platform tennis since 2000.
