Glenview to Hold Hearings on Flood Control Plan

Next summer, the Glenview Park Golf Club will close for about a year to make improvements to alleviate flooding on the course and the adjoining residential area. The project is a joint initiative of the Village of Glenview and Glenview Park District.

A $4.2 million flood control plan for Glenview Park Golf Club and adjoining neighborhoods will be the focus of public hearings to be conducted by the Glenview Park District in August, reported the Glenview Announcements.

Plans call for widening water detention ponds and regrading on the golf course, which is expected to decrease flooding for 130 homes around the facility, according to the newspaper.
