Milwaukee Avenue Construction Starts April 2

IDOT says the resurfacing project will begin on time, weather permitting, and anticipates 45 days for completion.

Weather permitting, work to resurface Milwaukee Avenue (Illinois Route 21) will begin Monday, April 2, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation. Look for construction notice signs posted from Glenview Road to West Lake Avenue and at least one lane of traffic in each direction open throughout the duration of the projects, the Village said.

According to the work is expected to take 45 days and if finished on schedule, will complete around July 20.

In addition to resurfacing, other projects include: removing and replacing the curb and gutter, sidewalk and median; adjusting catch basins, frames and lids; replacing the detector loop; and removing and replacing the asphalt and concrete surface.
