No New Restrictions for Glenview Leaf Blowers
The Plan Commission decided not to put limitations on how long the noisy devices can be used.
Glenview’s Plan Commission has decided not to limit the use of leaf blowers in the interest of peace and quiet, according to an article in TribLocal.
The commission solicited feedback last month on possible revisions to the village’s noise ordinance for equipment like generators, snow blowers and leaf blowers.
It was considering limiting the operation of gas-powered leaf blowers to no more than 30 minutes a day during the summer. The issue came before the commission so it could clarify the use of generators after recent flooding, the TribLocal article states.
