Northbrook Postmaster Takes Long Breaks at Home, CBS Says

The station tracked the postmaster spending up to almost 4 hours at home in the middle of the day.

Northbrook’s postmaster takes long breaks at home after only being at work a short time, then returns to the office for another brief time before knocking off for the day, according to a CBS 2 investigation.

One day, for example, the station tracked Ronald Weddington as he arrived at work at 9:15 a.m., then left at 11:05 a.m. to drive to the bank then home to Park Ridge. He returned to work at 2:15 p.m. and left for the day at 4:39 p.m.

When confronted by a reporter in his driveway, Weddington said “no, I’m not home a lot.”
