Summer Start for $8 Million Glenview Stormwater Project

Around 1,500 homes in east Glenview have experienced severe flooding in years past. A new stormwater project set to begin this summer is meant to help fix the issues, the Chicago Tribune reports.

An $8 million stormwater project aimed at alleviating flooding for roughly 1,500 homes in east Glenview is set to begin this June, according to the Chicago Tribune.

As part of the project, a stormwater pipe will be installed under a number of streets in the target area, in addition to pumping stations, the article states. The project will be paid, in part, through an intergovernmental agreement with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District.
