Village Approves Willow Creek, Housing Development at Glen

The Glenview Board of Trustees has given the green light to a massive church and large housing development on the last remaining parcel of Glenview Naval Air Station property, according to an article in the Glenview Announcements.

Willow Creek Community Church will build a 75,000-square-foot church that has a 1,500-person capacity and Edward R. James will build 171 units of detached houses, row houses and townhomes at a development called Westgate at the Glen.

The trustees approved the proposal unanimously, the Announcements article states. The final proposal incorporated changes based on concerns from neighbors about traffic.
