Snow Removal Update

Last week's historic storm dumped 18" and Public Works has been working overtime.

Following one of the most intense blizzards we’ve seen in years, the Village kicked into high gear to get things running smoothly post snow.

Here, some updates from the Village :

  • All streets have been cleared and 75 percent of major sidwalks are snow free. Village officials remind residents that property owners are responsible for clearing sidewalks in front of their own property.
  • Snow hauling is complete in Downtown Glenview and at the .
  • The Village continues to manage snow piles throughout Glenview to improve visibility for drivers. Currently, snow piles at intersections in five of the Village's 12 residential sections have been pushed back.
  • Want to be a good sumaritan? Help out the Fire Department and your fellow neighbor by removing snow in front of fire hydrants. 
  • If you've discovered damage to your property (mailboxes, sod) from plows, the Village wants to know. Call (847) 657-3030.
