My Assignment from God

Fourteen years ago, I had this overwhelming feeling that the Almighty God wanted me to become the light that guides the disabled without legal status in the country out of their darkness toward the dawn of freedom. During this period, I have written letters to the past and current U.S. presidents, but the probability of any letter to qualify for the president's desk is quite low.

So far this fact hasn’t been acknowledged by any administration, politician, celebrity or media personality. My hope is to change that. The purpose of this blog is to simply remind ourselves that fire cannot be extinguished, unless it is first acknowledged.

Disability in itself is a lifelong punishment without any indictment, conviction or crime. But, disability without liberty is a punishment upon punishment that can gradually suffocate the human spirit. I would humbly ask readers to think about the plight of the disabled ...  emotional pain with limited mobility in an endless night of darkness and fear. 

There are millions of disabled in the world; these are the ones blessed to be in the United States of America, where they experience the generosity and humanity that differentiate our nation from the rest of the world. Now, the question is about their liberty.

A simple executive order by President Barack Obama could change their fate forever by including them in the Diversity Program, which grants 50,000 green cards each year to people from all over the world to diversify our country. Disability is a form of diversity. This executive order could become the first step toward immigration reform.

As Thanksgiving approaches, I would request that readers pray and speak for those whose voices would otherwise never be heard.
