All Glenview Public Schools Closed Again Tuesday

Schools will shut down Tuesday, when temperatures are forecast to hit 1 to 5 degrees above zero.

As frigid temperatures continue to be in the forecast for Tuesday, Jan. 7, all Glenview public schools announced cancellations.

That includes Glenbrook South High School, Glenview Public School District 34, West Northfield School District 31, Northbrook/Glenview School District 30, Avoca School District 37 and East Maine School District 63. All Glenview public schools were also closed Monday, when temperatures plummeted well below zero.

Glenview Montessori School has also announced that it will close Tuesday. See more closings online via the Emergency Closing Center.

Highs on Tuesday will be between 1 to 5 degrees above zero, according to the National Weather Service. The agency has issued a wind chill warning that began Sunday night and will last through 12 p.m. Tuesday. Wind chills may drop to 40 to 50 degrees below zero, and frostbite can occur within minutes, according to the National Weather Service.
