Attea Middle School Gets New Asst. Principal
Hal Schmeisser, a social studies teacher in the North Shore School District 112, has been tapped by the Board of Education.
District 34 named new Assistant Principal for Attea Middle School on May 21, according to a press statement.
Hal Schmeisser will replace current Assistant Principal Jason Kaiz, who has taken a position as Principal of Lincoln Middle School for Mt. Prospect District 57. Schmeisser was selected amongst 140 candidates who applied for the position.

"Schmeisser has been a social studies teacher at Edgewood Middle School in North Shore School District 112 since 2007," the press release states.
Outside the classroom, he has served as the director of the Hi-Five Sports Camp in Chicago since 1999. Schmeisser received his bachelor's from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his master's in educational leadership from Depaul University.

He will take office in the Fall.
