D34 Make Up Days Set
The board has decided students will attend school on two days this month and next which had originally been scheduled as days off.
The following is a press release from District 34:
The Board of Education agreed to have students make up two of the four school days missed due to the extreme cold weather last month.
Therefore, students will be in session on Friday, February 28 and in session on Friday, March 14. Both of those days were originally scheduled to be days off for students. February 28 was originally scheduled as parent/teacher conference day and March 14 was originally scheduled as a professional development day for teachers.
There is no change in the last day of school for students. That date remains Thursday, June 5.
There is no change in the schedule for 8th grade students, meaning the last day of attendance for 8th graders isTuesday, June 3. Attea 8th grade graduation is set for the evening of Tuesday, June 3. Springman 8th grade graduation is set for the evening of Wednesday, June 4.
