A Meeting of the Minds

A Meeting of the Minds is a candid conversation about normal memory changes as well as the signs of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Attendees will learn the warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease as well as the resources available to those affected.

A Meeting of the Minds will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, September 5 at Glenview Senior Center, Lakeview Room, 2400 Chestnut Ave., Glenview. Featuring State Representatives Daniel Biss and Elaine Nekritz, the office of Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky and the Alzheimer’s Association®, Greater Illinois Chapter, the event will also include a discussion of the state of health care in the United States and Illinois. Elected officials will share current legislation focused on Alzheimer’s disease and discuss the role local people can play in obtaining resources for their community.  Staff from the North Shore Senior Center will also participate in this discussion.
