Baker Demonstration School is an independent day school, committed to providing an exemplary Preschool, Elementary and Middle School education.  We believe that children learn best in an inclusive, creative community that encourages individual risk-taking and values different ways of learning.  Our master and associate teachers develop strong relationships with each student, enabling them to personally understand every child and for each child, in turn, to feel understood and valued.  We maintain very small class sizes as part of this child-centered approach, which also enables the adjustment of classroom educational strategies to meet students' individual needs.
 
Baker's experiential approach nurtures the development of the whole child, from early childhood through adolescence, enabling students to be fully prepared for intellectual, artistic, physical and social/emotional challenges well beyond Baker.  Our school motto captures the dynamics of our educational philosophy:  Love to Learn, Cherish the Journey, Serve the World.
