Glenbrook South's Jacob Suter Qualifies for State Wrestling Tournament

Several area wrestlers qualified for state at a sectional tournament in Barrington this past weekend.

Glenbrook South High School’s Jacob Suter qualified for the state wrestling tournament this past weekend after placing first at the Barrington sectional meet, according to IHSA results.  

At 220 pounds, the Glenbrook South High School senior will now compete at the state tournament, which will be held Feb. 14 to 16 at Assembly Hall in Champaign.

  • Colin Kenyon, junior, New Trier High School; second place at 113 pounds.
  • John Benson, senior, New Trier High School; second place at 220 pounds.
  • Matt Pritchard, senior, New Trier High School; third place at 120 pounds.
  • Chris Alcock, senior, New Trier High School; third place at 126 pounds.
  • Paul Papoutsis, senior, New Trier High School; fourth place at 160 pounds.
