These are great student athletes who should be commended for their dedication and hard work. Did I spell that right?

Elizabeth, thank you for bringing a breath of civility to the conversation. Let me gently remind readers of our terms of service (http://northbrook.patch.com/terms) which call for exactly that: "Communities thrive when people care about each other, and as such, Patch expects all of its users to be respectful of others." Users who do not abide by our terms of service may have their accounts suspended. We'd ask that our commenters keep the focus on this community's amazing athletes, not on calling names.

All of you sound like children. As a concerned youth this was quite an entertaining read!

Congratulations to all these student athletes. I'm glad their accomplishments are being recognized. Now I'm going to sit with my writing reference books, and make sure my writing doesn't include typos, misused ellipses (you know, dot, dot, dot) versus just a dash, and proper grammar.

Wow, how pathetic is this? An article meant to give kudos to student athletes, and the so-called adults in the room argue over their own personal issues.
