Glen Town Center Has New Owner
The Dallas-based Tabani Group has bought the Glenview shopping center, which had defaulted on its loans.
The financially troubled Glen Town Center has a new owner — Dallas-based Tabani Group.
Crain’s Chicago Business is reporting that the purchase price was nearly $25 million.
That is considerably less than the $55.6 million owed in loan payments two years ago when a foreclosure suit was filed.

Tabani Group intends to fill vacant spaces with shops and restaurants and create community events that will draw people from the North Shore to the area.
“We are delighted to have acquired The Glen Town Center,” Tabani Group’s Zeshan Tabani said in a press release. “The property is already a premier shopping destination in Chicago’s North Shore and we look forward to bringing in additional shopping and dining options for our customers.”
