New Owner Plans to Update Captain's Quarters Menu

The new owner of the 37-year-old restaurant on Milwaukee Avenue plans to add more shared dishes and craft beers to attract a younger crowd.

New owner Flavio Renzulli plans to update the menu at the Captain's Quarters, which has operated out of a strip mall on Milwaukee Avenue for the past 37 years, the Glenview Announcements reports.

A patron of Captain's Quarters since he was 15, Renzulli took over the business from owner Tony Tzoubris, 69, who retired to spend more time with his family, according to the Glenview Announcements.

Located at 3566 Milwaukee Ave., the restaurant is known for its heaping portions of steak and seafood, as well as its cocktails. Dishes such as pan fried lake perch, roast prime rib of beef and Mediterranean tilapia have graced the menu for three decades, according to the restaurant's website.
