Zoup! Soup Restaurant Opening Soon in Glenview

The new restaurant will sell 12 rotating daily varieties of soup.

Just in time for the bitterly cold weather, a soup restaurant is opening in Plaza Del Prado.

Zoup! Fresh Soup Company opens to the public Thursday, Feb. 6, at 2743 Pfingsten Rd., according to a press release.

Husband and wife Andrew and Kim Siegel are the franchise owners of Zoup!, a nationwide chain that sells 12 rotating daily varieties of soup served with fresh baked bread as well as made-to-order salads and sandwiches. Popular soups include chicken potpie, lobster bisque and vegetarian split pea, according to the release.

As part of its grand opening celebration, Zoup! will host a pre-opening event on Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. to benefit Autism Society of Illinois. Guests will receive a bowl of soup, piece of bread and fountain drink for a $5 donation; 100 percent of proceeds go to the organization.

Zoup! will employ approximately 17 people and will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, according to the release.
