The 2nd Annual Embrace the Race 5k Run or Walk Benefitting NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) Kellogg Cancer Center

Join the fight against breast and ovarian cancer at the 2nd Annual Embrace the Race 5k Run or Walk in downtown Highland Park. Runners, walkers and advocates alike will make their way through the streets of downtown Highland Park during this inspiring event which aims to raise funds and awareness for breast and ovarian cancer. The race commences and ends at The Art Center (TAC) Highland Park where Caren Helene Rudman, the creative force behind Embrace the Race 5k, will showcase “Voices and Visions, Standing on the Bridge Between Health and Disease.” This powerful exhibition artistically expresses the impact of dealing with breast or ovarian Cancer. In an effort to engage the community and further her impact, Rudman partnered with MonTees Carpe Diem Racing to create Embrace the Race 5k, which serves as the prelude to her exhibit at TAC. After the Race, participants are invited to visit the exhibit as well as enjoy hot cocoa and massages.

All proceeds from the Embrace the Race 5k Run or Walk support NorthShore Kellogg Cancer Center. NorthShore Kellogg Cancer Center offers comprehensive and compassionate care for oncology patients and their families. Funds raised by the Embrace the Race 5k Run or Walk will directly support those affected by breast and ovarian cancer.
