Glenbrook South Titans Sports Scoreboard
The boys and girls basketball teams are in full swing while a GBS football player was honored for his play throughout the year.
Boys Basketball: Glenbrook South went 1-3 in the New Trier / Loyola Thanksgiving Tournament with its only victory coming over Rauner in the seventh-place game on Saturday.
Ose Ilenikhena led the Titans with 14 points while Matt Siegel and Justin Busiel each had 13 points to pace Glenbrook South.
Glenbrook South suffered close losses earlier in the tournament to Proviso West (61-56) and Hope (62-53). In both of those games the Titans held fourth-quarter leads.

The Titans play a few more non-conference games before starting Central Suburban League South action on December 6 by hosting Waukegan.
Football: Offensive lineman Mike Demos was named to the Illinois High School Football Coaches’ Association 8A All-State Team. The 6-foot-4 senior was the only player in the Central Suburban League to be named to the all-state team.

In 2010, former Glenbrook South running back John Strickland was named to the 8A All-State Team.
Girls Basketball: The Titans finished in second place at the Schaumburg Thanksgiving Tournament, going 4-1 in the round-robin tournament.
Glenbrook South’s only defeat came in a 40-23 loss against Wheaton Warrenville South, which won the tournament with a 5-0 record. The Titans made only nine field goals for the entire game.
Before the loss to Wheaton Warrenville South, Glenbrook South had run off three straight wins against St. Charles East, Rockford Boylan and Schaumburg to start the season. The Titans defeated Proviso West to end the tournament on Nov. 25.
Seniors Colleen McDonagh and Abby Keller were both selected to the all-tournament team.
