Titans Stun Deerfield In Third Straight Win

Glenbrook South defensive back Brett Laurie stole the show on Thursday, scoring four touchdowns for the Titans. GBS finished 48 to 0.

Glenbrook South's Titans wasted no time in their Thursday night victory at Deerfield, scoring on their first offensive play with a 65 yard run by Steven Schroeder. They went on to crush the Warriors 48 to 0.

"We faced a very good team," Deerfield High School Coach Steve Winiecki said after the game. "That's a team that's going to do a lot of good things."

The Titans remained intimidating, scoring with a 25 yard pass a minute and half into the second quarter. In their next offensive play, GBS wide receiver Cody Carroll scored with a 54-yard run.

Deerfield never quite recovered from that, moving three yards back in their next offensive play. Their defense struggling just as much, letting the Titans get within seven yards of the end zone where defensive back Brett Laurie ran it in to give GBS a 41-0 lead in the first half.

Laurie stole the show on Thursday, scoring four touchdowns for the Titans.
