Friday is the Last Day of the Candy Cane Bazaar

The holidays are upon us, which means its time for the Glenview Senior Center's annual Candy Cane Holiday Bazaar.

Shop the Annual Candy Cane Holiday Bazaar
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, and 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at the Senior Wing of the Park Center, 2400 Chestnut St., Glenview.
Pick up books, gifts, crafts, children's items, baked goods, clothing, jewelry and more at the Senior Center's annual Candy Cane Holiday Bazaar. Lunch will be served. 

Taste Wine to Benefit Links - North Shore Youth Health Service
6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at Trifecta Grill, 501 Chestnut St., Winnetka.
Sample wines and small bites while learning about the work of Links, a local nonprofit that serves young people around the north shore. Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased online or by calling Lynne at 847-441-6191, ext. 1. 

See A Fashion Show at Northbrook Court, Help Fight Cancer
6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at Northbrook Court.
Get a peek at the top holiday looks during a fashion show to benefit Bears Care and FORCE: Facing our Risk of Cancer Empowered. There will also be a cocktail reception, appetizers, dessert bar and silent auction. $35 in advance online or $45 at the door.

Check Out 'The Way We See It' at the Glenview Library
Through Jan. 6, 2014, at the Glenview Public Library, 1930 Glenview Rd., Glenview.
Artists from The Arts of Life show an exhibit called "The Way We See It." The nonprofit art studio is operated by artists with developmental disabilities, with the assistance of staff and volunteers. "Deeply influenced by popular culture, which is often their only window to the world around them, the exhibit shows how the artists perceive and interpret cultural themes and icons," writes Glenview Library spokesperson Jennifer Black.
