Neighbors of the four North Shore stores that were robbed last week say they aren't planning to take any dramatic security measures. The suspect in the crimes is still at large.

Creme de la Creme, 903 Green Bay Rd., was the fourth retail store at which the lifeguard bandit attempted to steal cash in the past week armed with a knife. An accessory shop in the Glen was hit last Thursday.
The lifeguard bandit strikes again. An offender robbed a Hubbard Woods shop on Friday afternoon. Police said he matches the description of a young man in a lifeguard sweatshirt who targeted three other North Shore stores, including one in Glenview.
Final arguments lasted three hours on Tuesday at the Skokie courthouse. The case ended in a guilty verdict for the defendant, according to Winnetka police.
No one was injured in a fire in Northfield Monday, firefighters rescued the homeowners' pets.
