Cary Three Injured in Blaze at Industrial Building in Cary Three workers were injured in an explosion and fire at Fox Valley Systems in Cary on Wednesday. Nearby buildings had to be evacuated due to the paint and chemicals contained in the building, officials said. Two people injured in the explosion have been transferred to the burn unit at Loyola Hospital and the third victim was sent to the St. Anthony Hospital Burn Unit in Rockford, according to Cary Fire Lt. Andy Veath. Investigators from the Cary Fire Protection District, Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Illinois State Fire Marshals are still investigating what caused the two explosions and the subsequent fire. Retail Theft On March 2 at 2:29 p.m., Lora Mijares, 45, of Wheeling, IL was arrested in the 1900 block of Tower Rd. and charged with retail theft. She was released on a $1,000.00 D bond. Her court date was set for April 12. Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol On March 3 at 1:18 a.m., Mina Kim, 28, of Austin, TX was arrested in the 3000 block of West Lake Ave. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage. Traffic Violation On Feb. 17 at 2:39 a.m., Andie Kitts, 38, of Glenview, was arrested in the 1000 block of Waukegan Rd. and charged with speeding (Over 31-39 mph) and disobeyed a red light. He was released on a $160.00 C bond. His court date was set for March 8. A criminal charge represents merely an accusation; defendants listed here are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
