$1 Million Foreclosure: A Good Thing for Glenview?

Chicago Magazine’s real estate blogger highlights a Glenview home in ‘Sale of the Week’

In an uncertain housing market, the $1 million sale price of a 12-room foreclosure property may be a step in the right direction, according to Chicago Magazine’s ‘Deal Estate’ blogger Dennis Rodkin. Read more: Foreclosures Find Glenview Residents, Experts Talk Solutions The property—located in an East Glenview neighborhood—pushed the burb’s real estate market up a bit, rather than bring it down, as most foreclosures do, the blog said. The home went on the market in August, listed for $999,000 and sold for $1 million, 12 percent above the market’s recent average, according to Mike Olszewski, the home’s selling agent.
