Reward Offered for Hair Salon Bandit

Niles Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and charging of the suspect who has robbed numerous hair salons in Niles, Skokie, Morton Grove and other suburbs.

Armed Robber Strikes at Niles Hair Salon

The suspect robbed hair salons in Skokie last week, police said. He struck again on Golf Road in Niles Monday morning.

  The armed robber who has robbed hair salons in Skokie and Morton Grove struck again at a Niles hair salon in the 8300 block of Golf Road just before 11:40 a.m. Monday, according to Niles police. A man matching the description entered a Morton Grove hair salon Friday and Morton Grove police responded, but that man was not the suspect police were seeking, Morton Grove police said Friday afternoon Earlier: Hair Salon armed robber strikes in Skokie Niles police released a statement Monday afternoon saying they responded to a report of an armed robbery. Regional Police Report: Men Survive Fiery Crash, Prostitution at Dragon Spa and More

Grayslake Two Men Survive Fiery Crash Two men are lucky to be alive after the car they were in struck a guardrail, rolled over and became engulfed in flames. The Lake County Sheriff's Department responded to the crash about 3:15 a.m. Thursday on Rollins Road west of Route 45. According to the release a black Mercedes SUV traveling Eastbound Rollins Rd West of RT 45 struck a guard rail on the North side of the road.  The vehicle overturned once and became engulfed in flames.  The driver Justin Schulze, 23, of the 18000 Block of Lindenwood Dr Wildwood and passenger John Bruhn, 29, unknown address, were able to exit the vehicle.  The two were transported to Condell Hospital.
