A Glenview resident bought a car from a man after connecting online, and later discovered the car was stolen in Northbrook.

Theft On May 1, a Glenview resident reported they purchased a car from a man they met through an online posting, according to police. The two met at a business in Glenview, the resident gave the man $9,950.00 for the car and received a title for the car, according to police. The resident later discovered the title was a forgery and the vehicle was previously stolen from Northbrook, police say. Vehicular Burglaries On May 5, four people reported their cars were burglarized while parked near a business on the 1800 block Landwehr Road, according to police. Lincolnshire police arrested a 44-year-old woman for stealing money from a man while working as his full-time nurse.
Lincolnshire police arrested a Glenview woman for stealing $255,000 from a Lincolnshire man while working as his full-time nurse, Daily Herald reported. Teresa A. Lau, 44, of the 0 to 100 block of Park Drive, was charged with two counts of theft over $100,0000 and financial exploitation of an elderly person following her May 1 arrest. Security guards tried to stop the man, but he swung a fist at the security guard's face, trying to strike, but missed. He ran out of the mall, pursued by security guards, and dropped his jacket with the cologne in the parking lot while running. He ran into the front doors of the off-track betting facility located in a mall outlot, and then ran out the back doors near the kitchen.
