The following reports were provided by the Glenview Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations and do not indicate guilt. Residential Burglary A resident in the 1600 block of Glenview Road reported Dec. 10 that someone entered their home, and stole three laptops and several pieces of jewelry. The amount of loss is valued at approximately $4,850. A resident in the 700 block of Arbor Ln. reported Dec. 11 that someone burglarized their home and took clothing. The reported loss is $500. A resident in the 700 block of Forest Rd. reported that some time between Dec. 15 and Dec. 16 someone burglarized their home. Entry was made by forcing open the home’s rear door. The following reports were provided by the Glenview Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of gulit. Aggravated Driving Under the Influence Jin Choi, 52, of Northbrook, was charged Dec. 14, in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Rd. with aggravated driving under the influence, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence - BAC of .08 or more, improper lane usage, and failure to signal when required. He was transported to court on Dec. 15 for a bond hearing. Possession of Cannabis Robert Cebula, 19, and Kevin Haro, 18, both of Glenview, were arrested Dec. 14 in the 1600 block of Meadow Ln. and charged with possession of cannabis. Cebula was also charged with resisting arrest of a peace officer. Both were released …
Construction of a parking deck at Glenview Public Library will require road closures in late March and early April.
The Village of Glenview has authorized road closures near the Glenview Public Library as contractors build a parking deck facility west of the new library building. Village officials noted heavy materials -- some 14 feet wide, 60 feet long and weighing as much as 80,000 pounds -- will be used in the construction. For public safety, administrators recommended the road closures. "The contractor will work with residents to maintain as much access as possible to driveways during the periods of road closure," the report stated. "The Glenview Road access to Olympia Plaza Shopping Center will be closed March 28-30 and April 1 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.; however, ingress/egress will be maintained on Harlem Avenue.
