Super Bowl 2013: Game Time, TV Schedule, Where to Watch in Glenview

The San Francisco 49ers will take on the Baltimore Ravens during Super Bowl 2013 on Sunday, Feb. 3.

Super Bowl 2013 is almost here, with the showdown of the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens just days away.  The XLVII Super Bowl will take place at 5:30 p.m. Sunday CBS-TV (channel 2). Super Bowl Food and Drink Specials in Glenview, Northbrook

The NFL playoffs are only getting started, but Pinstripes and Glenview House have already announced their game day specials. $4 beers and pizzas, anyone?

Glenview House, 1843 Glenview Rd. Glenview House is offering food and drink specials till midnight on Sunday, Feb. 3. Football fans of all ages can feast on their favorite football grub while watching the game on the large flat screen TVs in the bar and dining room, plus in-booth TVs to catch every play. Guests can tackle a dozen GH wings for $10 served with a spicy pineapple and BBQ hot sauce and celery slaw, $2 pints of Miller Lite, $3 pints of Half Acre craft beer and $2 kids meals (one per child under 12 years old). Super Bowl Cooking Class Serves Up Gourmet Bacon Dip, Tasty Treats For the Big Game

Viking Cooking School and Culinary Shop hosts an evening class showcasing a variety of game day recipes.

It may not be time for the big game yet, but it's never too soon to start planning the menu! Local football fans (sporting aprons) gathered at the Viking Cooking School and Culinary Shop Sunday evening to get their hands dirty while whipping up modern twists on some traditional Super Bowl fare -- Everything from bacon dip to ribs to cake. Dishes made by the group included: grilled pizza with shrimp and feta, easy barbecue ribs with fresh peach barbecue sauce, cheddar bacon dip with toasts and last but certainly not least, tres leches cake with raspberry sauce and raspberries.
