Reader’s Choice Winner: Glenview House

The downtown eatery won 67 percent of votes in this week’s reader’s choice contest for best spot to celebrate St. Patty’s

There are plenty of Glenview spots to partake in St. Patrick’s Day fun, complete with green beer, great food and spirited festivities. This week, Glenview Patch readers weighed in on the best place to cut loose on St. Patty’s as part of our most recent Reader’s Choice poll. Glenview House, 1843 Glenview Rd., won the top spot, nabbing 67 percent of reader votes. In the second spot, Grandpa’s Place, 1868 Prairie St., earned 24 percent. The renovated, historic bar opened last April and this weekend, co-owners Steve Podjasek and Mike Canning will feature Irish food and $3 drink specials available Saturday. Tell Us! Reactions to LeBron James' Big Plays in Game 2

After clawing to a 73-73 tie, the Bulls had no answer for the hot hand of Miami's big-play forward. Will the Bulls rebound in Game 3 to take back the series lead?

Early in the season a lot was made of the Miami Heat's inability to finish games. But in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, LeBron James put some of that criticism to rest on Wednesday. Scattered at restaurants and bars from Yard House and Merier's Tavern to and Hackney's and Pinstripes, local Bulls fans were a-plenty around town. After the Bulls tied the game at 73-73 midway through the fourth quarter, the Heat closed with a 12-2 run to win 85-75. The victory evened the series at one game each, as Chicago heads to Miami for Game 3 on Sunday. When the Heat needed buckets down the stretch, LeBron was the go-to guy.
