ReplyThis is a very exciting and positive step toward healthy living! I do hope that the proprietors make the environment VERY lovely: warm, inviting, beautiful, comfortable and cozy. The landscaping as well as decorating should be taken into consideration. Many "health food" establishments fail because they are not visibly attractive, and people don't enjoy the atmosphere. Low and elegant classical music--ideally a piano player or harpist? And, last but not least, I hope the service will be exemplary: caring, attentive, intelligent staff.
I wish them every success! -

I agree, and I'm envisioning a frozen yogurt without any artificial sweeteners or unhealthy additives, too! If anyone could come up with it, I think Laura could! Imagine a line of super-healthful items sweetened with organic fruits instead of Splenda or sugar or corn syrup!

ReplyThis is the perfect opportunity for The Patch to give us a web link so we can easily click to contact our legislators and let them know there should be a law protecting victims of "cash for gold" situations...

ReplyTax payers deserve information, and should appreciate the media for finding and sharing it! I didn’t know about the perks, the trip to China, the huge pension, until I read about it! A reader claims it’s “Bad for LF”? It makes us look bad, but not because the Patch has “stirred up the pot”, but because all these things actually happened! So we should just hush up ( “to protect LF”? ) when our money is being misspent? All of this “stirring of the pot” just might help to prevent this from happening again...

ReplyI would love to have Lisa Black do an an additional investigation of how the Caucus handled the Board of Ed nominations. A few very fine candidates were viciously attacked and libeled during that process--something that would have been unheard of in former Caucus years! It might be time to re-think Caucus if we want good School Board candidates in the future.

Would surveillance cameras in the train station parking lots--or any large parking lots--be an idea worth discussing?
