A mom to a fourth-grader, Katy is no stranger to the parenting juggle. In addition to writing a weekly column for Winnetka-Glencoe Patch, Katy is a member of the Winnetka-Glencoe Patch Parents Council and freelances for various other trade magazines and publications. 

Katy graduated with a degree in English from Loyola University Chicago and later earned a paralegal certificate at Loyola with a specialty in commercial real estate and corporate law. She is a North Shore native and longtime resident.
