7 Glenview Teens Cited for Underage Drinking

The following arrests and incidents were reported by Glenview Police:

Teens Cited For Underage Drinking
An 18-year-old from Glenview was issued a citation for possession of alcohol as a minor after police saw someone throwing a shot-sized bottle of alcohol from the passenger window of a car she was riding in, according to police. Salita was cited at 9:11 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, in the 3200 block of East Lake Avenue, police reported.

Police cited six Glenview teenagers for possession of alcohol as a minor at 11:27 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, after investigating a report of a suspicious incident in the 1300 block of Bonnie Glen Lane.


Possession of Cannabis; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
A 36-year-old Glenview man was issued a citation for possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis after he was pulled over for a traffic violation at East Lake Avenue and Wagner Road at 9:11 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, police reported.

A 19-year-old Glenview woman was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis at 11:24 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, in the 600 block of York Road, according to police.

Wallet Stolen; $2,000 Charged on Credit Card
An individual reported that their wallet was stolen from their purse in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard between 5:15 and 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, according to police. The credit card was later used for a $2,000 purchase in Skokie. The estimated value of the wallet and its contents is $410, police said.

Customer Yells Profanities at Cab Driver
An employee of a taxi company reported that a cabdriver was picking up a customer at a business in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue on Wednesday, Nov. 27, when the customer had trouble getting in the cab and began yelling profanities at the driver, according to police. The taxi-driver refused to take the person home and asked them to get out of the cab, at which point they ran away.

Strange Caller Claims to Work for IRS; Professes Love
A resident of the 2700 block of Manu Court reported receiving 12 phone calls from someone who claimed to work for the IRS between 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, and 10:37 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, according to police. At first, the caller told the resident that they owed the IRS money, and then the caller said they loved the resident and that he or she had a beautiful voice, police said.

Two Warned Not to Trespass at Tower Drive Business
An employee of a business in the 1800 block of Tower Drive reported that two people who had been warned not to return came back to the business anyway on Tuesday, Nov. 26, according to police. Both individuals were issued trespass warnings, but the employee did not want to sign complaints.

Jacket Stolen From Employee Locker Room
An employee of a business in the 4500 block of Concord Lane reported that someone stole their jacket from an employee locker room during their shift from 4 to 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, according to police. The estimated loss is more than $250.

Suspicious E-mail Claims Recipient Won $1.5 Million
A Glenview resident reported receiving an e-mail that indicated they had won $1.5 million on Wednesday, Nov. 27, according to police. The e-mail said they needed to complete a form with personal information and pay an $86 fee before receiving the first of several $3,500 payments. The resident did not complete the form, but wanted to document the incident.

Car Window Smashed on Huber Lane
A resident of the 400 block of Huber Lane reported that someone smashed the rear driver's side window of their car while it was parked in the driveway overnight on Sunday, Dec. 1, according to police. The estimated damage is $150.
