Drunk Person Enters Home Without Permission

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Glenview Police Department:

Drunk Person Enters Home Without Permission
A resident of the 1700 block of Pickwick Avenue reported that an intoxicated person entered the residence without permission at 1:49 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, according to police. Police advised the drunk trespasser never to return to that home.

Arrests: Battery, Warrant 
Eric Baehr, 31, of the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue in Glenview was arrested and charged with battery outside his home at 12 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, according to police.

Bartosz Bartosik, 39, of the 1500 block of Canterbury Lane in Glenview, was arrested on a warrant from the Lake County Sheriff's Department for retail theft in the 1300 block of East Lake Avenue at 9:52 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, according to police. 

Rear Window Shattered On Cove Lane
A resident of the 4100 block of Cove Lane reported that the rear window of his Ford Windstar was shattered on Tuesday, Dec. 24, according to police. The estimated loss is $400. 

Drunk Customer Throws Merchandise
The manager of a business in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported that an unruly customer was throwing items and yelling at 2 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25, according to police. Police officers spoke to the man, who was intoxicated, and restored peace. 

iPhone, WiFi Device Stolen On Milwaukee
A patron of a business in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported that someone stole an iPhone 5S and a T-Mobile Sonic 2.0 LTE mobile hot spot WiFi device at 5:44 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25, according to police. The total loss is $850.

Teens Ticketed For Drug Offenses
William Barnard, 19, of the 800 block of Glenview Road in Glenview, was issued a village citation for possession of drug paraphernalia after an investigation in the 1800 block of Maplewood Lane at 9:06 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, according to police. 

Two 16-year-old boys were issued village ordinance tickets for possession of cannabis after someone reported they were smoking marijuana in their car in the 1800 block of Tanglewood Drive at 3:43 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, according to police. They were released to their parents. 

Jonass Placitis, 19, of the 8600 block of Fernald Avenue in Morton Grove, was issued a citation for possession of cannabis after police stopped him in the upper parking lot in the 2700 block of Sable Lane at 8:07 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, according to police. 

Minors Cited For Possession of Alcohol
Janet Schwartz, 20, of the 2400 block of Fir Street in Glenview, and Kathleen Giudice, 20, of the 2300 block of Henley Street in Glenview, were issued citations for possession of alcohol as a minor after police responded to a noise complaint in the 1800 block of Admiral Court at 12:54 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, according to police. 

Teen Sets Off Fireworks
Police responded to the 2200 block of Grove Street for a report of what sounded like gunshots at 8:39 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, according to police. When they arrived, they found a 13-year-old Glenview boy who was setting off fireworks. Police issued him a citation for discharging of fireworks and released him to a parent. 

Thief Steals Coach Diaper Bag
A patron at a facility in the 1900 block of Glenview Road reported that someone stole a Coach diaper bag containing clothing at 12:35 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, according to police. The estimated loss is $110. 

Patron Harasses Employee
A patron of a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road threatened an employee at 3:49 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, according to police. Police advised the patron never to return to the business. 

Trespassers Pose as UPS Delivery People
A resident of the 1800 block of Tower Drive reported two unwanted people tried to enter the building by posing as UPS employees at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, according to police. Someone buzzed for entry and said he was a UPS driver and asked for permission. However, the two people who then entered the building did not appear to be UPS employees, and the resident demanded that they leave, according to police. When police arrived, they could not find the two suspects. 

Graffiti Reported On Shermer Road Business
A business owner in the 2700 block of Shermer Road reported finding graffiti painted on the back doors of the business at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, according to police. The estimated loss is $30.
